Happy Fitness Friday!

I know it's supposed to be a rainy weekend so here is a super fun indoor activity you can do!

Make a hallway laser maze! Easy, inexpensive indoor activity for kids that's super fun! Perfect for kids who love playing superhero or spy - and fun for birthday parties, too.

What you will need: String/party streamers, tape

Your task is to set up the string or streamers in a hallway or room like the photo above. You can make your own design! Once you have everything taped up, try and move through the obstacles without touching any of the streamers when moving. Remember all of the different levels and spaces you can move your body in to get to the other side.

Happy Fitness Friday!

This week we will be working on Target Practice.
We've been doing a lot of activities that involve our legs, but now its time to work on our arms too!


For Target Practice:
- You can find a rock, pebble, or some type of object that doesn't bounce too much.
- See how far you can be from the target (about 6 feet away) before throwing your object.
- I want you to focus throwing underhand like we have done in class before!

Have your parents or siblings play with you! See who cant get the highest score!

Happy Fitness Friday!

Can you believe it's already JUNE! That means we are so close to SUMMER! 

This week we will be doing Ultimate Hopscotch!


Now, Ultimate Hopscotch isn't your regular hopscotch... You must draw hands and feet that you will match as you move along. To make it trickier, add which hand, L or R, so you have to use your brain along the way!

Your goal is to see how fast you can get through the circuit!

Happy Fitness Friday!

I can't believe it's already JUNE next week! In hopes that it will be sunny for our future Fitness Fridays, I will be posting only outdoor activities now! Keep stock of your chalk!


Driveway/Sidewalk Twister

For the Twister Spinner click HERE

If you have not played Twister before, that's okay!

Basic Rules of Twister: 
  • You may play with 2+ players, or alone.
  •  Start with your first spin using the spinner. If it tells you left foot green (it will land on the colour telling you which body part), you may choose which green dot you will put your left foot on. 
  • You must keep your hand or foot on the dot unless the spinner tells you to move that body part again! 
  • If your foot or hand is already on the color requested, then you must move it to a different open spot of that same color.
  • If you fall down, you are out of the game (or start a new game). 
  • See who can be the last one standing to win!

Since it has been a VERY rainy week, we will be doing an indoor workout for today. Hopefully we get some sunshine next week!

Happy Fitness Friday!

Hopefully everyone is able to enjoy the long weekend and get outside. This week we have driveway Snakes & Ladders!


You can choose how many squares you want in your board game. I chose 30. 
You also get to draw where you want your snakes and your ladders!

Rules:
If you land on a square that has a ladder, you get to climb to the top number the ladder ends at.
If you land on a snake, you slip down to where the bottom of the snake is.

You may choose if you would like to hop both feet or one foot when you move. To make it even more challenging, try to balance on the one foot for the whole game!
